Who are we looking for: 18-30 year old men who have sex with men, who have had receptive anal intercourse (bottomed) in the last month, and had unprotected receptive anal intercourse in the last year.

Short Description:
Are you 18-30 years old? A man who has sex with men? And willing to be tested for HIV?
This research study consists of at least one and possibly up to nine visits. You will receive compensation for your participation. If you enroll, you will be tested for HIV, complete a physical exam including an anal exam, and be asked questions about your medical and sexual history.

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking volunteers to participate in a study to determine the physical health and sexual behavior of young men who have sex with men and how comfortable they would feel applying a gel inside their rectums before receptive anal intercourse. This study is the first step in developing a gel that could someday protect people against HIV.
The fact is, 63% of all HIV/AIDS cases in the U.S. are in men who have sex with men (MSM) and HIV infection rates are rising among MSM.
We are seeking: HIV-negative men, ages 18-30, who have had receptive anal intercourse at least once in the past month, with at least one occasion of unprotected sex in the past year. Volunteers will receive compensation for their time, as well as confidential HIV counseling and testing.
